Abstract:

This paper gives a brief introduction to a new multi-attribute capital investment appraisal model - the financial appraisal profile (FAP) model. The FAP model appraises an investment by evaluating the three main attributes of finance, project specific risk and strategic benefits. The three sub-models of the FAP model - the net present value profile, the project risk profile, and the strategic index are illustrated and explained in detail.
