The purpose of this paper is to analyze and explain social and cultural changes associated with the increased practice of international business today. Special emphasis is placed on international marketing, international human resource management practices, contract manufacturing, joint venture, technology transfer, and strategic alliances. This study examines changes associated with international modes of entry in the host nation. The current practice associated with the use of information technology and the Internet in international business and management are also investigated. In addition, the current thoughts of contemporary European and South American researchers and practitioners on the subject of economic trends in global business are also investigated.
